CLIENT: CENTRE FOR SOCIAL INNOVATION

Launched in 2011, THE DESIGN COMMON is a space for 'change-maker' designers to build and collaborate. It aims to ignite, support and promote design as a tool for social innovation. Working in tandem with the Centre for Social Innovation the space was co-created with the first cohort of members - identifying needs and touchpoints through a rapid ideation process. Launched with a group of 12, the space grew to house 20 designers of various disciplines. Programming and events for the social innovation community and wider public were developed in an effort to demonstrate and promote the impact human-centred design thinking can have at a strategic level.
