THE LILY RAFT was a collaborative submission to the 2014 Biomimicry Design Challenge focused on transportation. The concept, inspired by the functionality of the Giant Water Lily (Victoria Amazonica), aims provide aid workers in flood-prone areas an effective method to guide more people to safety. With the addition of the Lily Raft governments and municipalities could modify their current inventory of rescue boats with modular attachments, significantly increasing their carrying capacity.
