A MODEL AND RATING SYSTEM FOR CHILD-CENTRIC WORKSPACES
LITTLE BOXES is a best-practice model for creating child-centric workspaces. It is the result of research and prototyping that moved beyond simply supplementing existing workspaces with childcare, towards a solution that creates the workplace around the child. With intensive user and stakeholder research (and some origami), our team designed spatial and programmatic criteria that will meet the needs across three primary stakeholder groups: working parents, children of working parents, and clients of the parent. This model can be used to in isolation as a co-working space, or integrated within an existing organization.
